Nyugat-Svédország

Your workplace

Imaging and Functional Diagnostics (BFD) is a dynamic and technically advanced practice that includes radiology, mammography and clinical physiology. Radiology clinics are located in five locations in the region.

As a radiologist here, you will be part of a team consisting of 25 specialists/consultants and 15 ST (specializing) doctors in the county. The practice is jointly organized with an overall manager, scheduler and coordinator, which creates good conditions for cooperation and exchange of expertise. At the hospital, there is one specialist and two ST doctors, but the employees work closely with each other regardless of the location they work in.

Here the activity is conducted around the clock, with both emergency and elective examinations. The machinery consists of a computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MR), fluoroscopy equipment (GML), skeletal lab and ultrasound lab. Here there is closeness between different activities and a strong team spirit between X-ray, clinics and emergency reception.

Here you have the opportunity to combine stimulating work with a life close to nature. Here there are beautiful forests, lakes and mountains within reach – perfect for those who appreciate outdoor life, peace and community. The city offers good schools, affordable housing and a strong local community with proximity to services and culture.

The hospital is known for its good cohesion and its close cooperation between the clinics and your expertise makes a real difference for the patients.

Your duties

As a radiologist, you work broadly within general radiology, with image review and examinations in conventional X-ray, computed tomography and ultrasound.

The tasks vary and also include rounds, multidisciplinary conferences (MDK), further education and supervision of ST doctors and visiting colleagues. On-call duty in the evenings and weekends is included in the position. In the region, there are three on-call lines for radiologists: primary on-call, back-up on-call and remote on-call, which enables a flexible and sustainable on-call organization. At night, external review takes place via Teleconsult, both weekdays and weekends.

Your main location is in the hospital of a small town, but work at other hospitals in the county is possible by agreement. The possibility of remote work is available to the extent that the business allows. We work in Sectra RIS/PACS and have county-wide work lists, which creates close collegial and flexible cooperation between radiologists throughout the region.

Your skills and competences

Experience with conventional X-ray, CT and ultrasound as well as basic competence in ultrasound intervention. Experience with magnetic resonance imaging is an asset.
