Requirements for education

Specialist exam in Psychiatry from within the EU or education recognized in an EU-country plus at least three years of experience as working as a specialist in that country.

Required experience

Experience of psychiatric work in outpatient and/or inpatient care is an advantage. We would like to see that you have an interest in development work, evidence-based care and preferably also research. You have the ability to work both independently and in a team and possess good communication skills as well as a professional and empathetic approach.

Duties

Duties are standard specialist duties: psychiatric work in outpatient care which includes diagnostics, treatment, follow-up and collaboration in multi-professional teams.

As a new specialist with us, you will continue to develop in a safe environment where colleagues are available for discussion and support in clinical assessments. We offer reasonable expectations during the first few years and give you the opportunity to gradually grow into your role. As a more experienced specialist or senior doctor, you will encounter an operation where your skills are utilized and where you can contribute both clinically and strategically.

Salary for staff with Swedish legitimation

85.000 – 95.000 SEK depending on professional background and number of years of experience as a specialist. Later, as a consultant doctor, you can earn even 100-110.000 SEK or more.
