Description of the workplace:

Addiction activity is aimed at people with addiction with or without simultaneous psychiatric problems. We are organized in care chains with outpatient and round-the-clock care in close collaboration around patients. The activity consists of several specialist units and in some of our clinics and departments, staff from social services also work. At our inpatient ward 368, we work in teams that include a nurse, doctor, carer, counsellor, psychologist, pharmacist, occupational therapist and medical secretary. We have 14 care places to offer in the ward.
Patients come for abstinence treatment, addiction care and treatment of various psychiatric diagnoses such as psychosis symptoms, depression, anxiety, manic episodes and crisis reaction.

You receive regular training in self-protection, both practical and theoretical training, where also adapted training is given specifically to nurses based on the managerial role in emergency situations.


As a nurse, your duties will be based on the nursing process and the liaison staff. We work in teams with the patient together with doctors, nurses and counselors where everyone contributes with their skills. You also have a managerial role in the daily department work where you lead and distribute the work and follow up on set goals and actions. We have a close and continuous collaboration with outpatient care, social services and the municipality. The work is varied and stimulating, at the same time as there are sometimes periods when there is a high speed and rapid adjustments.
As a day nurse in ward 368, you lead the work around the liaison staff and nursing team. We offer a solid and individually adapted introduction and besides the path based on your needs, there we also hold a continuous follow-up after the introduction period. We want everyone to feel secure in their work role and will do what is necessary for you to feel secure in yours. You will be scheduled to workday, evening and weekend but not nights.


We are looking for a registered nurse with a college degree from within the European Union. It is an advantage if you have been specialized to psychiatric care or have experience of it, preferably of addiction care because the target group will be patients with mental illness in combination with an addiction.

The salary for a newly graduated nurse starts at about 26,000 SEK and in addition, about 1500 – 3000 SEK / month is added for evening and weekend services. Experience pays more. SU also makes pension provisions of 4.5% of salary and you are insured for illness, accident, death.
Good opportunities to take extra shifts if you want to earn a little more. Of course, you get paid for every hour you work extra if you need to stay a day or so. It is also included in the annual salary revision according to the Swedish Labour Code.
