Requirements for education
Specialist exam in Endocrinology from within EU or at least three years of experience as working as a specialist in an EU-country.
Double speciality in Internal Medicine would be an asset but not a requirement.
Required experience
Experience in working as a specialist in endocrinology outpatient care is preferred.
Duties
In the role of specialist doctor by our place, you primarily work in reception. You will work with competent nursing staff and with patients with varying conditions. At the reception, teamwork is the basis for all work and together we create a high comfort factor for patients as well as between colleagues. For those who are interested in management responsibility and business development, there are good opportunities for section leadership. By our place, there is also the possibility of funded research time and close collaboration as well as professional development within the collaboration with our university clinic.
The position involves full-time work. If there is an interest in preparedness (on-call), there is also the possibility of that, but it is not mandatory.
Salary for staff with Swedish legitimation
Starting salary: 73.000 SEK
Average salary: 80-90.000 SEK

Helsingborg Hospital is an emergency hospital with operations around the clock. The hospital has an emergency department as well as clinics and wards in many different specialties. There is also childbirth and neonatal care for premature babies and their mothers. We also operate at the hospitals in Ängelholm and Landskrona. The Diabetes and Endocrine Reception at Helsingborg’s hospital currently conducts activities with a catchment area within large parts of northwestern Scania. Our mission is to care for, investigate and treat patients with diabetes type one, difficult-to-treat diabetes type two, osteoporosis, thyroid diseases and other endocrine diseases. Within the unit there is a multidisciplinary reception and a reception for pregnant diabetics. Our operation in Helsingborg has a close collaboration with nearby hospitals within Region Skåne. At our unit, a significant educational activity is also carried out with both bachelor teaching within the framework of the Medical Program at Lund University and own ST (trainee doctor) teaching.
