Training requirements
Specialist in Family Medicine from within the EU or recognized in an EU-country plus minimum three years of working experience in that country.
Experience required
5-10 years of experience in working as a specialist in Family Medicine.
Experience in child healthcare, retirement home and home care are valued.

It is important that you have good language skills, you have also a professional approach and a good treatment. We attach great importance to personal characteristics that includes that it is easy to cooperate with you, you are taking responsibility and you can work structurally and quality minded. Your patients have to feel cared themselves when they meet you. You are socially competent and have interest for and ability to work both independently and in team.

It would be an asset to be able to supervise doctors in education.

Stand-by in evenings/ nights and weekends plus service at the on-call centre.
Salary
Your salary will be allocated by your competences independently of your nationality.
Salaries for family doctors in Sweden vary between 83.000 and 93.000 SEK/month.
The minimum salary during the first 6 months of your employment is gross 60.000 SEK/month, while you are waiting for your licence to practice. Between the 7th and 12th month it will be 75.000 SEK/month. Then it is agreed individually according to your experience and it continues to raise up to to 83-93.000 SEK or even more.

Description of the health centre
Primary care management is responsible for basic healthcare in the field of Family Medicine for all ages. The healthcare centre has to give care by need in the form of investigation, diagnostics, treatment, nursing care, counselling and follow-up. The healthcare centre has to work preventively in accordance with The National Board of Health and Welfare’s guidelines for disease prevention methods. The primary care is person centred and has to strengthen patients’ ability for maintain, promote and improve their health.
Your duties will include everything from acute falls to preventive care and lifestyle issues. As a specialist in Family Medicine in primary care you will work together with professionals from other fields around the patients, for example in receptions led by nurses. Apart from reception work, also included homecare and possibility for working with among others child healthcare, retirement home, health work and/ or quality-work. Work in on-call centres and stand-by service are included in the assignment. Little by little, there will be also included supervision of training doctors.
The Health Centre is located in a region in South-Sweden with a big variation in patient-register. There are approximately 30 employees who work together for giving a safe and secure care with high quality to approximately 8.200 listed patients. It is a workplace that is driven by wanting to develop the business for the better. The workplace is characterized by an inclusive atmosphere where cooperation and mutual respect are in focus. They invest in all their employees, regardless of professional role and previous experience.

Totally 30 employees. Here, there work Family Medicine specialists, district nurses, general nurses, assistant nurses, medical secretaries, psychologists and curators.
About the city
It is a locality and the seat of the local municipality in a region in southeastern Sweden. It has a population of around 5.600.
This is a town along the shores of Lake Hulingen. There is a local airport to the north and in between the airport and the town is one of IKEA’s manufacturing plants.
There is a regional airport and there are also a couple of larger airports nearby with Linköping City Airport and Kalmar Öland Airport.
