Qualification required
Specialist certificate in Neurology from within the EU or recognition of certificates and at least three years of work experience as a specialist in EU.
Description of work at the actual clinic and its assignment and goal
As a specialist in the Neurology Reception, you work with reception activity with your own reception.
We are also a consulting company that can be equated with on-call work as a neurologist on-call during the day.
The clinic does not have a belonging neurology department. Stroke care is not part of our mission in Gävle.
We attach great importance to the supervisor function that you have, when you are on call, during reception activities for assistant doctors.
We have a day care where we provide infusion treatments during the day.
We offer our patients Botulinum toxin reception where we treat dystonia, facial hemispasm and chronic migraine.
Stroke care is not included in our assignment in Gävle.

The outpatient activities include a lot of administrative tasks in the form of, for example, follow-up of investigations, assessment of referrals from the county, certification.
Doctors work in collaboration with other professions at the reception.
We work together with a neurorehab-team consisting of an occupational therapist, physiotherapist, speech therapist, dietitian, counsellor, nurses and neuropsychologist.

Working hours 08:00 – 16:30, Monday – Friday, break 30 minutes.
Flex time 2 hours before and after the work shift.
Not work at weekends or holidays.
No on-call.
Broad neurological focus on the reception that provides a varied work and opportunity for development within several neurological diagnoses.
Investigates and treats all neurological diagnoses.
Plans for the future
Digitization with the possibility of patient visits via video will be relevant via “my care Gävleborg”, which enables teleworking.

Clinical experience
At least 1 year of experience from similar neurological activities would be an asset.
Experience from outpatient / reception activities would be an asset.
If the doctor has worked in general neurology and has broad knowledge in various neurological diagnoses, it would be an asset.

Salary
The following gross salary is valid for 2024. From next year, a bit higher salary can be expectable.
Salary as:
– Assistant doctor, general fixed-term employment (during Swedish studies B2 – C1 in combination with work 50/50 before Swedish legitimation and specialist licence): 45 500 SEK/month.
– Legitimated assistant doctor, general fixed-term employment (after receiving a Swedish license and specialist certificate): 49.300 SEK.
(Alternatively, 53.500 SEK as a legitimated assistant doctor with permanent employment if the introduction takes longer than planned from the legitimated assistant doctor till specialist position but where it is seen that the candidate has good chances to develop with additional support.)
– Specialist doctor, permanent employment, when the candidate manages his/ her duties independently: minimum of SEK 72.600. This minimum is for newly graduated specialist. For those who already have had more or less experience as specialists in their home-country, it can be higher such as 75-90.000 SEK.
– Head-doctor, permanent employment. After a while, it is possible to apply for a position as a consultant where the salary is negotiated individually and can be even 90-110.000 SEK.

- During the personal visit which is part of the interview process, the cost of travel, accommodation and meals are financed by Mediflexible
- Free Swedish course from A1 to C1 level. Between A1 and B2 online and B2 – C1 in the workplace in combination with work. The candidates will study each afternoon after work. Financial support during the course up to B2 (the amount is topic of negotiation).
- Free language education for family members – to B2 level for spouses and school-age children is obligatory.
- Help with the application for Swedish license to practice, supervision of the process
- free Swedish legal and social training which consists of 40 lessons
- Integration assistance (assistance in registering at tax authority, opening bank account, etc.)

- Assistance in the organization of moving and in apartment-seeking
- Support for moving: 20.000 SEK for singles and 30.000 SEK for families for furniture transport + 5.000 SEK for travel costs.
